Second Annual Clovis Hires: Young Adult Career Fair and Hiring Event Returns

CLOVIS, NM (March 27, 2024) –  The City of Clovis is excited to announce the return of the second annual Clovis Hires: Young Adult Career Fair and Hiring Event, slated to take place on April 12th, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clovis Community College. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year promises more opportunities for young adults and anyone seeking new career paths or educational options.

The event will feature a wide array of opportunities for attendees, including the chance to interact with local employers, engage with educational institutions, and explore financial aid options with knowledgeable financial aid officers. Aimed primarily at 16-24-year-olds, the event is open to anyone interested in exploring career or educational opportunities.

Attendees are encouraged to participate in resume-building workshops and on-the-spot interviews, providing them with valuable experience and potential job offers. New to this year’s program is the addition of interactive panels featuring local professionals, offering insights and advice to attendees throughout the day.

Mayor Mike Morris expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “I was thrilled by the turnout and support from our community and local businesses last year, and we’re aiming to duplicate and expand upon that success this year. Our goal is to make job opportunities, internships, and education pathways accessible to young adults, fostering growth and prosperity within our community.”
