Senior Services Scheduled to Begin Outdoor Activities Effective April 1, 2021

The Friendship Senior Center is scheduled to begin outdoor activities effective April 1, 2021. The center has been closed since March 2020, and staff are excited to expand outdoor activities to include outdoor tea time under the pergola, parking lot bingo, and outdoor exercise classes.

“I am so glad to see some of the restrictions lifted so that we can begin to meet again in person with our seniors,” advised Barbara Riggan on Monday.  “It has been a difficult time for everyone. I am grateful to the staff for all they have done to facilitate virtual activities.  We are all looking forward to meeting in-person with our outdoor activities.”

Mayor Morris also commented on the partial reopening of Senior Services. “Beginning some in-person activities with seniors is one small step to reopening our community. Thank you to the Senior Services staff for continuing to serve our seniors during this pandemic.”
