CDBG PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE WITH REQUIRED ELEMENTS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Clovis, New Mexico wishes to inform all interested parties that public hearings will be held:

March 17, 2020 10:00 AM Friendship Senior Center, 901 W. 13th St.
The purpose of this public meeting will be to report on past CDBG program activities and to receive public input on community development needs and suggestions for future CDBG projects.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program was established under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, in order to assist communities in providing essential community facilities, providing decent housing for residents, promoting economic development and maintaining a suitable living environment. The State of New Mexico estimates the 2020 appropriation of $10,000,000 to be distributed statewide on a competitive basis.
State and national objectives of the CDBG Program require that assistance be made available for activities that address at least one of the following:
- An activity identified as principally benefiting persons of low and moderate income;
- Aid in the prevention and elimination of slums and blight;
- Meet other community development needs of recent origin having a particular urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health and welfare of the community where other financial resources are not available to meet such
Applications are limited to a maximum of $500,000 without Certified Cost Estimates and $750,000 with Certified Cost Estimates, except for planning applications which have a limit of $50,000.
Eligible activities and categories will be described. All interested parties are invited to attend, to submit project ideas, to provide supporting data and testimony, and other pertinent information.
With sufficient notice, a translator will be provided for non-English speaking residents. Those unable to attend the public hearing may send written comments to:

Ciudad de Clovis Nuevo Mexico, desea anunciar que una reunión pública se llevara a cabo:

El objetivo de esta reunión pública será relatar en el pasado actividades de programa de CDBG y para recibir entrada pública en el desarrollo de comunidad necesita y sugerencias para futuros proyectos de CDBG.
El Programa de Desarrollo de la Comunidad (Community Development Block Grant) fue establecido en 1974 bajo el Title I de Housing & Community Development Act, como enmendado, para asistir comunidades en suministro de instalaciones de comunidad esenciales, el suministro de alojamiento decente para residentes, la promoción de desarrollo económico y mantenimiento de un ambiente de vidas conveniente. El estado de Nuevo México estima que la asignación 2020 de 10,000,000 dólares se distribuía por todo el estado en una base competitiva.
Los objetivos estatales y nacionales del Programa CDBG requieren que la ayuda sea puesta a disposición para actividades que se dirigen a al menos uno de los siguientes:
- Una actividad identificada principalmente beneficiando personas de ingresos bajos y moderados;
- Ayuda en la prevención y eliminación de barrios bajos y plaga;
- Encuentre de otras necesidades de desarrollo de comunidad de origen recientes que tienen una urgencia particular porque condiciones existentes proponen una amenaza seria e inmediata para la salud y beneficencia social de la comunidad donde otros recursos financieros no están disponibles para encontrar tales necesidades
Aplicaciones son limitadas con un máximo de 500,000 dólares sin Estimaciones de Costos Certificadas y 750,000 dólares con Estimaciones de Costos Certificadas, excepto aplicaciones de planificación que tienen un límite de 50,000 dólares.
Las actividades elegibles y las categorías serán descritas. Se invita que todos los interesados asistan, presenten ideas de proyecto, proporcionen datos de apoyo y testimonio, y otra información pertinente
Con aviso suficiente, proporcionarán a un traductor para residentes que no hablen inglés.
