Community-Wide Incentives to Complete the 2020 Census

The 2020 Census deadline is upon us, and residents are encouraged to complete the questionnaire to ensure an accurate count for our community. An accurate count means federal dollars for programs like healthcare, education, roads and housing. 

To encourage resident participation, the City of Clovis and other community organizations are offering giveaways for those who complete the Census. First, the City is giving away ten $50.00 gift cards from local businesses to Curry County residents who provide proof that they have completed their Census. In a similar effort, Zia Broadcasting is offering a chance to win a 55-inch Smart TV upon Census completion.

To be eligible for these prizes, the City encourages the community to attend the Grab-n-Go Census Lunch event on Wednesday, September 23rd from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at the Clovis-Carver Public Library. Hot dogs and chips will be provided on a first come, first serve basis to participants, and it is here that residents may complete the Census and register for the drawings. The winner of the Smart TV will be announced immediately after the event.
