CLOVIS CITY MANAGER JOE THOMAS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT PLANS

Clovis City Manager, Joe C. Thomas, announced plans this morning to retire his position with the City of Clovis effective November 1st, 2015. Thomas, who began working for the City on August 7, 1972, has served the community in increasingly responsible positions during the past forty-two years, including Assistant Chief of Police, Interim Chief of Police, Deputy Medical Investigator, Director of Public Works and Assistant City Manager, before becoming City Manager in December of 2004.

“It has been my pleasure to serve the citizens of Clovis throughout my career,” stated Thomas. “As City Manager it has been an honor to assist the community during various challenging events including the 2005 BRAC and the 2007 tornado. During my years as manager we have completed numerous projects to address the growing needs of the local community and Cannon Air Force Base. I could not have fulfilled my duties to the public without the dedication, support and commitment of all of the City employees, to whom I am very grateful.”
