A photo ID is required to vote in the Municipal Officer Election. If you do not have a photo ID, please contact the Municipal Clerk at (575) 763-9632.
When is the last day to register to vote?
The regular voting registration period ends February 6, 2024, for the Municipal Officer Election. Same day voter registration will be conducted at the Municipal Clerk’s office between February 4, 2024 to March 2, 2024. Citizens can register to vote on Election Day.
How does someone register to vote?
Before February 6, 2024, visit the Curry County Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., request a voter registration application be mailed to you by contacting the County Clerk’s Office, or visit www.nmvote.org. After February 6, 2024, same day voter registration will be available at early voting sites and all election day sites.
When and where does early voting occur?
Early voting at the Municipal Clerk’s Office , located at 321 N. Connelly Street, will open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning February 6, 2024, through March 1, 2024 and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday March 2, 2024. Exceptions include February 19, 2022, which is a holiday. The Clerk’s Office will be open March 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Are there additional early voting locations?
Early voting begins at the North Plains Mall at 10:00 a.m. on February 17, 2024. The site will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The final day for early voting at this site is Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Declarations of Intent to be a Write-in Candidate for the Municipal Officer Election shall be filed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
When is the last day to file a Statement of Withdrawal for candidates?
For candidates that file on January 9, 2024, the deadline to withdraw their candidacy is January 16, 2024. For write-in candidates that file on January 16, 2024, the deadline to withdraw the candidacy is January 23, 2024.
