Welcome to the Older Adults Department for the City of Clovis! The purpose of this department is to assist in enriching the lives of Senior Citizens in this community who are 50 years and older. This is accomplished by promoting welfare, happiness and personal growth through regular social, educational, and recreational activities at the two senior centers sponsored by the City.

In addition to the activities and services offered at the senior centers, the department coordinates with the Curry Resident Senior Meals Association to deliver meals to homebound seniors. There is also coordination of efforts with the State Agency on Aging to provide an outreach volunteer who visits, calls or provides transportation to doctor's appointment for the homebound. Both centers provide space for public health staff to provide flu inoculations to seniors in the fall and for tax preparation for seniors during tax season. This department coordinates with the Police Department to provide a program of Serving our Seniors (SoS) and Are You OK? The Fire Department provides blood pressure checks on a regular basis at both centers and the O.A.D. Coordinates with the Parks and Recreation department to sponsor the local Senior Olympics for all interested seniors in the city and county.

Please feel free to call or come by!
