17.90.120 Planning and zoning commission.

The planning and zoning commission shall have the following powers and duties:
A. To study urban and regional planning issues and the means of protecting and improving the environment for the citizens of Clovis;
B. To initiate, review and make recommendations to the city commission concerning amendments to the comprehensive plan;
C. To promote the understanding of planning and environmental matters relating to land use and planning among public officials as well as the residents of Clovis;
D. To administer and enforce the provisions of this title;
E. To review environmental and economic impact analyses relating to land use and planning prepared by the city or required of others by the city;
F. To review and make recommendations to the city commission concerning amendments to the zoning map, text of this title, and conditional use permits;
G. To delegate such duties and responsibilities of the planning and zoning commission to a hearing officer consistent with the provisions of this title;
H. To undertake such other duties, responsibilities and powers as may be delegated to it by the city commission, including but not limited to powers delegated by this title and the subdivision regulations for the city. (Ord. 1495-96 § 3(part), 1996).
