Damage repair of nonconforming uses is permitted. The following rules shall be used:
A. No repairs exceeding fifty percent of the use’s value shall be permitted.
B. Should a major nonconforming building’s structural integrity be damaged, thereby making the structure unsafe, the use shall be terminated.
C. All values shall be based on the construction costs of the repairs compared with replacing the entire structure. (Ord. 1495-96 § 3(part), 1996).
