A. If any property owner fails to prune or remove trees as provided in this chapter, the city inspector shall order such person, within ten days after receipt of written notice, to correct the violation.
B. If a person to whom and order is directed fails to comply within the specified time, the city shall perform, or cause to be performed the required action.
C. The city inspector may cause a citation to be issued to the offending party for violation of this chapter in the manner prescribed by Chapter 2.32 of the Clovis City Code.
D. In instances where the city has caused required maintenance to be performed at city expense, the city clerk shall prepare a claim of lien against the tract of real property involved, in such form as may be satisfactory to him, and shall file such claim of lien as an encumbrance against the tract of real property in the office of the county clerk. Such lien when filed and recorded as required by law, shall constitute a first and paramount lien against such tract of real property, subject only to the priority of the general property tax.
E. The remedies prescribed in this section shall be considered cumulative, and the exercise of one such remedy shall not preclude the city from pursuing any other remedy. (Ord. 1595-99 § 2(part), 1999).
