12.30.080 Clearance over streets and walkways.

Maintenance of tree clearance over streets and walkways shall be the responsibility of the abutting property owner. Any person pruning trees on public places or private property shall prune trees in a manner that will not obstruct or shade street lights, obstruct the passage of pedestrians on sidewalks, obstruct the vision of traffic signs, or obstruct the view of any street or alley intersection. A clearance of ten feet for overhanging limbs must be maintained over public walkways, a clearance of thirteen feet must be maintained over streets, and a clearance of sixteen feet must be maintained over primary arterials and alleys.
