12.12.210 Construction permit.

A. Construction permit application for new ground sign when erected or constructed to heights exceeding thirty feet above ground level, or for all roof signs, shall be accompanied by a drawing of the sign structure and the sign prepared by and certified by a registered professional engineer or licensed architect. The building inspector may also require similar certification by a registered professional engineer or licensed architect where any unusual structural provisions of a proposed sign and structure indicate such certification is necessary in the interest of the public safety.
B. Construction Permit Effectiveness, Renewal Permit. Any permit for construction of a sign shall become null and void unless construction of the sign and structure is completed within one hundred eighty days of the issuance of a permit or the permit is renewed for an additional one hundred eighty days.
