A sign shall not hereafter be erected, reerected, constructed, altered or maintained except as provided by this chapter and after a permit for the same has been issued by the building official. In addition, electrical permits shall be obtained for electric signs in accord with all other applicable ordinances and codes. (Ord. 1340-88 § 2(part), 1988).
