12.12.090 Abandoned signs.

A sign is considered abandoned when the business, event or purpose the sign advertises no longer applies or when the face of the sign no longer contains advertising material and remains in such condition for a period of six months. The building inspector shall issue a written notice to the permittee, if any, and to the property owner, which notice shall state that such sign shall be removed within thirty days. If the permittee, if any, or property owner fails to comply with such written notice to remove, the building inspector is authorized to cause removal of such sign as defined under the Removal Section 12.12.100 of this chapter.
