The applicant shall not interfere with any existing utility without the written consent of the person owning the utility facility. The applicant shall inform himself as to the existence and location of all underground utilities and protect the same against damage. Any utility facility which must be moved in order to complete the excavation shall be moved by its owner, at the expense of the applicant. The applicant shall be responsible for any damage done to any utility facility as a result of the excavation. (Ord. 1583-98 § 3(part), 1998).
