Chapter 12.04 STREETS*
12.04.010 Definitions.
For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases have the
meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
A. Fence.
“Fence” means any natural or artificial barrier or obstacle, fixed
in position, which constitutes a hindrance to the unobstructed view along or
near a street, including by way of examples, but not by way of limitation,
walls, hedges and windbreaks.
B. Lot. “Lot” means a parcel of
land occupied or intended for occupancy by a building, accessory buildings and
uses customarily incident thereto.
C. Lot, Corner. “Corner lot”
means a lot adjoining two or more streets adjoining at their
intersection.
D. Lot, Interior. “Interior lot” means a lot other
than a corner lot.
E. Street. “Street” means all property
dedicated or intended for public or private street purposes or subject to public
easements and includes sidewalks. Streets are the entire width of any public way
from the adjoining property line to the opposite adjoining property
line.
F. Street, Front. “Front street” means the street toward
which the front of the main building located upon an adjoining corner lot
faces.
G. Street Line. “Street line” means the dividing line
between a lot and a contiguous street.
H. Street, Side. “Side
street” means the street toward which a side of the main building located
upon an adjoining corner lot faces. (Prior code § 17-1).
