A. In addition to collecting the costs and expenses incurred for correcting the violation, the city shall assess an administrative fee of twenty-five dollars for the first notification to abate a nuisance. If the nuisance condition is abated within the time specified in the notice, the twenty-five dollars administrative fee shall be waived by the city.
B. If a second notice for the same nuisance condition is issued to a property owner/occupant within a twelve-month period, the administrative fee for the second notice will be one hundred dollars, and will not be waived.
C. If a third or subsequent notice for the same nuisance condition is issued to the owner/occupant of a property within a twelve-month period, the administrative fee will be two hundred fifty dollars, and will not be waived.
D. An administrative fee required by this section, unless waived by the provisions of subsection A of this section, shall be assessed and become part of the cost of abatement pursuant to the procedures set forth in Section 8.08.030(G). (Ord. 1855-2006 § 3, 2006).
