8.04.110 Use of city landfill/disposal fees.

A. The city shall maintain a solid waste disposal facility at which all solid waste collected by it shall be deposited, and all garbage and solid waste deposited therein shall be the property of the city. No person except city employees shall dump any garbage or solid waste at the city solid waste disposal facility without having obtained a permit pursuant to procedures approved by the city manager or his designee. All garbage and solid waste deposited at the city solid waste disposal facility shall be done under the supervision of city employees, and it shall be unlawful for any person to dump garbage or solid waste within the city at any place except the city solid waste disposal facility.
B. A tipping fee of twenty-six dollars per ton shall be charged at the landfill gate for all garbage and solid waste deposited at the solid waste disposal facility. Vehicles with unknown tare weight will be weighed both before and after dumping. All loads of garbage and solid waste must be properly secured during transportation to the solid waste disposal facility. Unsecured loads will be charged a tipping fee of fifty-two dollars per ton.
