For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

A. “Livestock” shall be defined as set forth in Section 77-2-1.1A, NMSA 1978, as that section is currently adopted, or as it may be amended in the future.

B. “Person” means any person, family, firm, corporation or organization owning or controlling livestock or poultry within the city.

C. “Poultry” means chickens, turkeys, geese, duck, guineas and game birds.

D. “Domesticated pets” means rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other domesticated animals kept by the owners as pets. (Ord. 1770-2004 §2(part), 2004: Ord. 1613-99 §2(part), 1999: prior code §4-1).
