5.40.070 Fire safety.

In the event the application indicates that a temporary structure or tent is to be used, the fire chief shall determine if the applicant has, before the structure is to be used as a place of public assembly, made provision for:
A. Adequate aisles, seats, platforms and poles;
B. Sufficient exits, well lighted and properly marked;
C. Lighted and unobstructed passageways to areas leading away from the structure;
D. Removal of any pole, rope or other obstruction in any aisle or exit;
E. Inspection before the opening of each performance by a qualified electrician, at the expense of the applicant, to ascertain if any defects exist in the wiring, with provision made for immediate correction of any defects which may be found;
F. Sufficient first aid and fire appliances to be distributed throughout the structure with operating personnel familiar with the operation of such equipment;
G. Sufficient no smoking signs visible at all times;
H. That canvas parts of the structure and all combustible decorative materials have been rendered fireproof. (Ord. 1163-80 § 7, 1980).
