Upon receipt of an application for a license and permit as required by this chapter, endorsed by the chief of police as approved, the city clerk shall execute a permit addressed to the applicant for the carrying on of the business applied for and shall deliver the permit, upon payment of the prescribed license fee and upon posting of bond required by Section 5.32.080, to the applicant. The clerk shall keep a permanent record of all licenses issued. (Prior code § 6-7).
