When used in the ordinance codified in this chapter the term “garage” and/or “yard sale,” including sales commonly referred to as home, mobile home or patio sales, means a sale of personal property to another within a residential area of the city, conducted in such a manner as to reasonably cause the public to believe that the person conducting the sale will cease and discontinue the selling of goods at the place of sale upon the disposal of the stock of personal property on hand.
