Chapter 2.90 CLOVIS PRIDE COMMITTEE
2.90.020 Membership--Qualifications--Appointment.
A. The committee shall be composed of an unspecified number of members,
not to exceed twenty-five in number to be appointed by the mayor, by and with
the consent and approval of a majority of the full city commission. One member
of the
Clovis city commission shall also be appointed to the committee. One
of the members shall be appointed by the mayor as chairman and one of the
members shall be appointed by the mayor as vice-chairman.
B. Members shall
be citizens of the city or Curry County, but no more than one-fourth of the
membership may reside outside the city. The members shall broadly represent all
segments of the community who have an interest and willingness in guiding the
development of programs and activities to further the purposes of the
committee.
C. Members of the committee shall be appointed for unspecified
terms. Additional members and replacement members for those who resign shall be
approved in the same manner as provided for herein. The city commission may
remove any member that misses three consecutive meetings or who is not
contributing to the objective of the committee. The city manager, director of
inspections and city planner will serve as ex-officio members of the
committee.
D. Members of the committee shall serve without compensation.
