Chapter 2.81 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
2.81.030 Powers and duties.
The powers and duties of the committee shall be to:
A. Advise and
assist the city commission in the development and application of policies and
programs relating to the police department and the fire department.
B.
Review and evaluate existing resources and equipment to determine existing
utilization and future needs.
C. Review and evaluate operations and
procedures to enhance programs and improve public service.
D. Review and
evaluate potential means to improve community involvement, understanding and
appreciation of the police department and fire department.
E. Review and
evaluate the status of service of the police department and fire department and
consider recommendations for proposed changes to meet future needs.
F.
Report to the city commission with the recommendations of which the committee
deems necessary to further the purpose or purposes set forth in this
section.
G. Conduct meetings of the committee as deemed necessary by the
