2.64.080 Personnel rules.

Personnel rules of the city shall:
A. Provide for consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures to all employees, guide supervisors in personnel administration, and inform employees of policies that affect their employment;
B. Provide that all appointments and promotions to employment with the city shall be made on the basis of merit and without regard to race, color, national origin, political or religious opinions, handicap, sex or age of applicant;
C. Comply with all state and federal laws regulating public employees. (Ord. 1352-89 (part), 1989: Ord. 1318-87 (part), 1987: Ord. 1068-76 §7, 1977).
