In addition to those powers granted in this chapter, the planning-zoning commission shall annually conduct a review of the Clovis comprehensive plan and shall submit a report to the city commission with comments, general recommendations, and specific recommendations on changes, amendments or deletions to the comprehensive plan. In furtherance of this duty, the planning-zoning commission is authorized to conduct public hearings to obtain information and citizen input. If approved by a majority of the members of the planning-zoning commission, the commission may recommend to the Clovis city commission that the comprehensive plan committee be activated to conduct a full reevaluation and revision of the Clovis comprehensive plan.
