1.01.110 Constitutionality and severability.

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of the Clovis City Code is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of the code. The Clovis city commission declares that it would have passed the code, and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases had been declared invalid or unconstitutional. If for any reason the entire code should be declared invalid or unconstitutional then the original ordinance or ordinances upon which the code is based shall be in full force and effect. (Ord. 1273-85, 1985: Ord. 1173-81 § 11, 1981).
