From the City of Clovis Inspections Take time to clear the weeds and debris from your alley to prevent harboring rodents and insects. Property owners/tenants/managers are responsible for maintenance of the alley for the length of the property to the middle of the alley. If junk is piled in your alley and residents do not have a way to haul it to the landfill(free dumping for residential customers), you may call Public Works and request a pick-up. Please allow 4-6 weeks for results due to the high volume of requests. Commercial Businesses must haul the items to the landfill - you can contact the landfill at 769-7852 for current rates for dumping. Weeds must be kept below 12 inches tall. Non-compliance could result in a citation or possible lien on your property if the City must have the area mowed or cleaned.
