On November 1, 2005, the Code Compliance Division will begin posting properties that are not in compliance with City Code. The property owner will have five (5) working days to bring the property into compliance. Health and Safety hazards must be removed within 24 hours of posting of notice. Failure to comply constitutes consent by the owner for the City to abate the nuisance at the expense of the owner. Contractors will immediately be contacted to mow and/or clean the property. The cost of this service plus $100.00 Administration fee plus tax will be assessed against the property and a lien will be filed on the property. With property ownership comes responsibility…make sure you are being a responsible owner.
