One in three pets will get lost sometime in its life. Many of the pets wearing a ID tag will get home. Most of the pets not found wearing a ID tag will not make it home and will end up in the local pound.Animal Control Officers pick up many animals that have been run over that don't have any type of identification.
The City Of Clovis Animal Control Shelter urges all pet owners to please put some kind of identification on their pets.A veternarians rabies tag along with a personal ID with a home address and telephone number on it is the best chance to get your pet returned.
The local Clovis Animal Welfare League has a free Lost and Found Pet Service available for pet owners. The receptionist will get all information on both lost and found pets and will offer advise on how to find your pet or return found pet to the owners. The number is (505)763-4400
