Extra Trash in Alleys

The Sanitation Division, of the Public Works Department - is experiencing high volumes of trash in the alleys. July is the peak month of each year for an extraordinary amount of alley trash. The alleys are designed for an automated dumpster system and when the alleys are filled with extra trash (outside of the dumpsters), the Sanitation Division does not have enough staff to manually pick that trash. Some of the alleys look very trashy and are becoming quite unsanitary, this is unhealthy for the residents nearby - as well as the general public. The Division needs help from everybody to reduce this problem. Our staff has come up with many innovative approaches from computer analysis, down to using a pitchfork to abate the problem. As a resident, you can help too. If you have extra trash that the dumpster cannot contain, and you have a pick-up truck, please load up the trash and take it to the landfill. It is free for Clovis residents! We will appreciate it very much if you will do so.
