We have an outstanding Integrated Mosquito Management Program, however there is no possible way of eliminating all the mosquitoes in Clovis & Curry County. You must do your part to protect yourself & your families.
Mosquito Precautions
Eliminate all sources of standing water on and around your property. Do not over water your lawn or potted plants.
Keep grass and weeds trimmed to 3-4 inches to prevent harboring of insects.
Use an insect repellant containing DEET(30% for adults & 10% for children) while outside. Contact a physician before using Insect repellant on children under the age of 2 years.
Wear light colored (so you readily see when mosquitoes are around) long sleeves shirts and long pants if possible while outdoors.
Avoid going outdoors at dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
