he
Clovis Residential & Commercial Pride of the Month Program is intended to
encourage and recognize individual and business efforts that enhance the
aesthetic of our community. This
recognition program is an ongoing effort promoted by Clovis Pride. During May through October of each year,
nominations will be evaluated by the Clovis Pride Committee and city
staff. A list of nomination finalists
will be given to the eight Commissioners of the four commission districts
within the city of
Additional
community involvement will be encouraged through the establishment of
partnerships with individuals and businesses that provide awards, financial, or
resource support. Active involvement in
the selection of Pride sites by the elected commissioners reinforces the goals
of Clovis Pride and places the commissioners in a highly visible leadership
role for community improvement. The
announcement of selections and the awarding of certificates at alternating
commission meetings will keep the program in the public eye twice per month.
Display
of the “Clovis Pride Shines Here” signs in public areas during the off-season
will also keep the public aware of the program and the ongoing goals of Clovis
Pride.
This
guide is intended to provide sustainability to the Clovis Pride Residential
& Commercial Pride of the Month Program.
It contains detailed procedures for the nomination, selection, and
recognition of those individuals and businesses within the
