Meetings scheduled the last Friday of each quarter (January, April, July, October) at 10:00 a.m. at the Housing Authority Office.
The purpose of the Board is to provide leadership, set policy, approve budgets, and earn support in the community for housing programs. The main areas of responsibility for Commissioners include:
- Making decisions that are in the best interest of the agency and serve as an advocate for the Housing Authority.
- Setting policy for the operation of the Housing Authority, to ensure that the agency is run in an effective, efficient, ethical and legal manner.
- Approve financial statements.
- Set long and short-range goals, to determine which direction the agency is to proceed.
The members are elected by the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and appointed by the Mayor and City Commission.
