2016 ETHNIC FAIR TO BE HELD AT HILLCREST PARK

The City of Clovis Cultural & Ethnic Affairs Committee is delighted to announce a week of cultural activities to celebrate our cultural diversity.   Activities begin with one and a half hour Batik & Tie Dye and Drums & Dance cultural workshops from July 18th-21st at 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Roy Walker Recreation Center, and will culminate in the 2016 Ethnic Fair on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at Hillcrest Park.

The fair this year promises to be a community wide cultural celebration with something for everyone in the family. The Zoo and Splash Pad will be open free of charge to the public throughout the day. There will be cultural dance exhibits including Dineh Tah Navajo Dancers, Flamenco Nuevo Mejico Company and Agalu “Spirit of Drums and Dance” Cultural Troop of Nigeria, to include musical entertainment and a talent show sponsored by American Legion Post 117.   There will also be numerous exhibits including the New Mexico Society of Buffalo Soldiers, a fun run, healthcare fair, and some wonderful food.

The 2016 Car Show is sponsored this year by the Citizens Bank of Clovis and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23rd at Hillcrest Park.
