The City of Clovis Summer Youth Program is designed to provide local youth from ages 5-11 with opportunities to engage with the outdoors and learn about the environment. The program is held for eight weeks throughout the months of June and July. This is the first year of the City of Clovis Summer Youth Program and is funded by the New Mexico Outdoor Equity Fund and the City of Clovis.

The 2023 Summer Youth Program will be held from June 5 – July 28, 2023, at Roy Walker Gymnasium, located at 316 West Second Street Street in Clovis. The hours of the program will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30 minute drop off/pick up period before and after the program each day. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided each day, and field trips will also be organized throughout the summer.

The program is organized by the City of Clovis and the Parks & Recreation Department to provide local youth with affordable summer programming centered around environmental education. A seasonal Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall planning and implementation of the program, with the help of ten program assistants and other staff from the City of Clovis.
